Prom

Anthony has been the Jr. class advisor for four years now, which includes organizing the "Jr. Prom" It is actually really fun. For those of you who were not raised in a small town Prom really is a community event. All the parents come and watch the Jrs. do a floor show it is pretty awesome to see them all doing a dance/waltz together. Anyway after that and the promenade everyone can come down and dance, from 2 year old to 85 year old. Now not everyone dances but quite a few adults grab their spouses and have one night to feel like a "kid" again. Last night was the first time I took Samuel and Savannah and they loved it. Savannah got to dress up in her "princess" costume and loved to see all the other princesses (she informed me, they're not girls mom they are princesses) Their are two banquet tables full of fresh fruit, pretzels, marshmallows and Cinnamon bears to dip in chocolate fountains.....I think that was Samuel favorite part. Savannah on the other hand really was Cinderella for a night, she spent most of the night dancing along the sidelines.

The Chocolate coverd marshmallows were their favorite! :)

Fruit Pizza

I thought it would be fun to make fruit pizza last night. The kids loved to decorated it with the fruit, an figured since it was called fruit Pizza it must be nutritious and would be a great meal for dinner.......we had it for dessert instead.

Darren

This is a picture of Lisa and Jareds cute little guy Darren. He is such a sweet pleasant boy. Lisa was in Utah last week we had so much fun hanging out together. We flew kites, decorated eggs, went on bike rides, it was just a great week. Wish we could have more like them......

Sidewalk

Anthony and I are not the best about shoveling the snow on our sidewalks it is very windy here so by the next morning they are covered again. As a result we have thick ice on our sidewalks and driveway. I spent the last half hour chipping ice about 2 1/2 inches thick off of our front sidewalk. (I'd rather do that then dishes so anthony humored me and did the dishes) I never thought I would be so happy to see a sidewalk! But 6 months of a snowy winter sure makes you appreciate the small things. I've been trying to think of ways to melt the 1 - 2 feet of snow off of my lawn. Any ideas???? :)

Happy Birthday!!

I know everyone says that time goes so fast, but WOW! I really can't believe that Kaitlen is 1 year old. We had a great party at grandma and grandpa mitchells house (thanks g-ma liza) with ALL our family. It was so much fun, we really have the best families. We had a fun photo shoot with Jill here are a few of the pictures we took.

Buddies!!

Sun, Wind, Snow, negative Temps (it was negative 5 twice this week) it doesn't matter these three little buddies; Riley, Samuel and Cameron, spend a lot of time playing out front of our house on the "snow mountains" The cold really doesn't matter when you are 5 they run up and down the hill and have the greatest time together. And yes I know that it is March 9, but we still have about 2 feet of snow and 5-9 feet tall piles of snow in Woodruff. I can't wait to post pictures with some green in them.

Sorrow

This is Anthonys cousin Robbie with his family he was diagnosed with cancer in the middle of December. He was a healthy active father of five; the youngest being twin boys who are about 15 months old. Family and friends have been fasting, and praying for a miracle for the past three months, however the cancer was to far spreed and our Heavenly Father called him home early this morning. This has just wrecked me, I'm already an emotional lady but the thought of his sweet wife being left alone to raise her family has been really hard for me to deal with. Patty, his wife, is such an inspiration she if full of Faith and courage. I have a testimony of the gospel and know that the spirit will be there to comfort her and her kids. I know that they will be together someday. Robbie will be missed by so many. So I guess this is my small tribute to him and his family. For any of you reading this never forget how fleeting life really is share your love with your family and make sure your spouse knows how much they mean to you, you never know how long you have with them!
