Hair

Kaitlen has the craziest hair. It is so wild after she gets out of the bath. She is so funny she hates having ribbons, or barrettes in her hair if she feels that they are in she keep grabbing them until she gets them out. So she spends most of the time with her hair down in her face.

Tagged

Well thanks Jennifer for the tag,...... I've been trying to think all day of some little know facts which is harder then I thought it would be. But now that the kids are asleep maybe I can come up with a few little known facts.

1. It is almost Asparagus season, when we were younger we would always hold an annual "asparagus race" the Burtons would all meet at our house, with plastic bags in hand we would race through the orchards to see who could pick the most. It was so much fun but as I look back at it I'm certain it was just a way for our parents to get bags full of asparagus. I always just thought of it as a game. I really miss it and would love if I could race through our orchards again...:(

2. I am an organizer/planner I love to have things in their place (I am running out of room in my house to have things as tidy as I'd like them) and well planned out. Since being married to "easy going" Anthony I have relaxed a ton, which really makes life more enjoyable then always running by a schedule. Thanks Anth!

3. Almost every night after we have put the kids to bed Anthony and I can be found in front of the TV or playing a game of cards sharing a can of Pepsi and eating a snack.....usually Dorritos or our newest specialty is Schwanns cheese stuffed mini pretzels.....so yummy!!

4. I have had a small crush on Anthony since the 5th grade, he was the new kid at school and I had my eye on him. When we were in middle school my friend and I called him endlessly. We started dating when we were 16 and have been together ever since. I often wonder how I lucked out to meet such a wonderful husband and daddy when I was only 10 years old.

5. I love gardening! I've had some pretty big gardens the last 8 years one year I planted over 24 tomato plants! I love having so much produce I can just give bags of it away. I have a list of all the things I would like to grow......Apples, Peaches, Cherries, Raspberries, maybe one day.......sigh

6. My Grandpa Sorenson always held his thumb inside his hand....with the same hand. Know what I mean? tuck your thumb in towards your palm and close your fingers around it. Anyway I find myself doing it all the time without even knowing it.....maybe it is just genetic.

7. I have an obsession with pictures I know that scrap booking is all the rage but I am more obsessed with having enough photos so I won't forget anything. All of my pictures are neatly organized in photo albums with descriptions of who, what and when on the backs of the pictures. My kids have scrapbooks...... which I wish I had more time to work on. They aren't anything fancy but a great record of what is going on in life. I think I get that obsession from my mom, she was always good at keeping track of photos.
Well that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. So now I tag Lisa, Mel, Katie B. , and Catie A. Come on guys I know you can do it.

Happiest Place on Earth

We got back from our Disney vacation with the Mitchell family late Sunday night. We had so much fun and are exhausted! It was priceless to watch the kids faces as they saw all that Disney has to offer. Savannah loved seeing all the princesses.

Samuel rode on all the big rides and loved them! He went on "Screamin" a few times which made most of the little rides a big disappointment...or as Samuel would say "boring" He did get to dance in the High school musical parade, which was a hoot!

Splash Mountain is always my favorite and one of the only rides that doesn't make me motion sick. Savannah loved Splash mountain and mini mouses house. Kaitlen loved all the parades and music, she was so good I was worried that she would have a hard time but she was a champ!

We loved the food!! Samuel was always up for a churro and we got a delicious funnel cake by the "bugs life world". :)

Great Grandma and Grandpa Epperson went with us and did awesome walking all over the park. Here is Savannah Beth and Granna Beth in Tarzan's Tree house.

Champions!!

Anthony has helped coach the Rich Rebels Girls Basketball team for the last four years and every February we spend a week at the State Tournament. The team works all year with the hopes of winning the state title. Last year was a heart breaking year, we were the team to beat and lost in the final game by 1 point. This year we were once again the team to beat and everyone new we could do it. For those of you who have never lived in small community you may not understand the amount of pride and support that our team has. High school sports is what we do here, it is everyones "night out on the town" If we want to go do somthing fun we go to a high school game; football, basketball, whatever is going on. The tournament is 4.5 hours away and yet we always have hundreds of fans who travel to support the team. Are fans are easy to spot everyone from 2 year olds to 70 year olds wear bright blue shirts sporting there "Rebel pride" We all know each other and look out for each other. It is pretty awesome! Anyway the team played so well together and they won!! The girls that are seniors are the girls Anthony started with as Freshman so he has been with them from the beinging. We have won 14 of the last 16 state Volleyball titles but this is the first ever state basketball title boys or girls for Rich High so it was a pretty exciting night!

The kids were little troopers at the tournement. They are just taking it easy in Kaitlens stroller. Sometimes it gets long watching game after game but they did so good.

There favorite part was all the swimming they got to do at the Hotel. We are all glad to be home for a few days before we head to Disneyland on Tuesday.
